We took apart/rebuilt 200 times each brand. Verdict: Duplo bricks keep their magnetic hold (firm clipping, clean unclipping), Mega Bloks loosen after 50-80 cycles. At 18 months it's not serious, but at 3-4 years it frustrates when the tower collapses without the child touching it.
Compatibility LEGO Duplo and Mega Bloks: can you mix them?
