Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Doublequatre (a French company, "we", "our", or "Ludiktoy"), which operates the website Ludiktoy at www.ludik-toy.com, collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit the site.
1. Who we are (data controller)
Doublequatre, a French company headquartered in France, is the controller of any personal data processed via this site. Contact: contact@doublequatre.fr.
2. Information we collect
Ludiktoy collects the minimum necessary to operate the site:
- Newsletter subscription: email address only, provided with your explicit opt-in. One-click unsubscribe is available in every email we send.
- Contact form: first name, email, and message content. Used exclusively to reply to your request.
- Server logs: IP address (anonymized), browser type, page viewed, timestamp. Retained 30 days for site security purposes, on the legitimate interest of the publisher (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Ludiktoy does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The site is intended for parents and accompanying adults (COPPA, 16 CFR Part 312). If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
3. Cookies
At the time of this policy, Ludiktoy does not use any third-party analytics tool (Google Analytics, Plausible, Matomo, or similar). No tracking or analytics cookie is placed on your device by Ludiktoy.
The only cookies that may be set are:
- Strictly necessary cookies for the site to function (WordPress session, browsing preferences) — these do not require consent under Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and equivalent US frameworks.
- Third-party Amazon cookies placed when you click an affiliate link to Amazon — these cookies are managed by Amazon, not by Ludiktoy (see section 4).
If any analytics tool is added later, this policy will be updated with the full disclosure required by GDPR Article 13 and CCPA/CPRA before deployment.
4. Amazon Associates affiliate program
Ludiktoy participates in the Amazon Associates program (currently amazon.fr). When you click an Amazon link from our guides, Amazon places its own cookies on your device to track your purchase journey. These cookies are managed exclusively by Amazon, not by Doublequatre. See Amazon's Privacy Notice. Ludiktoy does not receive any personal information about you in this context — only a commission on purchases you make.
5. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)
- Newsletter: explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time.
- Contact form: performance of pre-contractual measures / legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
- Server logs: legitimate interest of the publisher to secure the site (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
6. Your rights — GDPR (EU/EEA visitors)
Under GDPR, you may at any time:
- Request access to your data (Art. 15);
- Request rectification (Art. 16);
- Request erasure (Art. 17), subject to legal retention obligations;
- Object to or restrict the processing (Art. 18 and 21);
- Request data portability (Art. 20);
- Withdraw your consent at any time for consent-based processing.
7. Your rights — CCPA / CPRA (California residents)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, or sell about you;
- Delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions;
- Correct inaccurate personal information we have about you;
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Ludiktoy does not sell or share your personal information.
- Be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise CCPA/CPRA rights, email contact@doublequatre.fr with subject line "CCPA Request". We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days.
8. Children's privacy (COPPA)
Ludiktoy is intended for parents and adults, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA, 16 CFR Part 312). Parents who believe their child has provided personal information may contact us at contact@doublequatre.fr for prompt deletion.
9. Data retention
- Newsletter data: retained throughout your subscription, deleted within 30 days after unsubscribe.
- Contact messages: retained 12 months max after request handled.
- Server logs: rolling 30 days.
10. Security
Data is stored on servers hosted in France (o2switch, Clermont-Ferrand). The site uses HTTPS (TLS). Access is restricted to the data controller. We do not sell, rent, or share your data commercially with third parties.
11. International data transfers
Ludiktoy does not transfer personal data outside the European Union, except for data that may be sent to Amazon when you click an affiliate link (subject to Amazon's privacy policy). For California residents whose data is processed in France, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards under applicable law.
12. Complaints
If you believe your rights are not respected by Doublequatre, you may:

We may update this policy from time to time, particularly when adding new technical tools to the site. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Users are encouraged to review the policy periodically.
