Amazon affiliate: what it means for the reader, plainly
When you click a "See on Amazon" button from my guides and you buy a product within 24 hours, Amazon pays me a 1 to 5% commission on your cart total. You pay the exact same price — the commission comes out of Amazon's margin, not added to your bill.
Why Amazon affiliate funds Ludiktoy
Affiliate income fully funds the site: hosting, illustrations, writing time, guide updates. It's the condition that lets me stay independent and not have to sell hidden advertorials to survive.
No brand can buy its slot in a comparison guide. A product's presence in my picks is purely editorial. If I recommend brand A over brand B, it's because A is better — not because it pays a better commission.
How I avoid conflicts of interest in toy comparisons
- Amazon commission rates are nearly identical across brands (1 to 5% depending on category). It's not a discriminating factor.
- I systematically include at least one cheaper alternative in my guides, even if it earns me less.
- When a product is not available on Amazon, I link to the official site or a specialty shop anyway. Commission isn't a selection criterion.
- Sponsored content (paid partner article + link) is strictly separated from comparison guides and labeled "In partnership with". See my partner offer.
Identifying Amazon affiliate links on the site
Every Amazon link contains my affiliate tag ludiktoy-21 and the attribute rel="sponsored noopener nofollow". They are flagged visually by the "Notice: Ludiktoy contains Amazon affiliate links" banner shown at the top of every page.
Amazon EU Associates Program: required legal mention
Ludiktoy is a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Program, an affiliate program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.fr. As Amazon puts it: "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases."
